Dr. Whitfield provides one-on-one therapeutic intervention for children, adolescents and college students struggling with ADHD and executive dysfunction. Many aspects of executive functioning are effected by ADHD, including initiating a task (“getting started”), goal-setting, task-oriented behavior, staying focused, planning, organizing, staying motivated, and shifting from one task to another. There is also an emotional component to ADHD that is oftentimes overlooked. Dr. Whitfield works with students to support new skills and habits, offering strategies that are effective, and easy to implement.
